SPD Tuesday Inspiration

Last week started with me being under the weather and it ended in such high note. I went to a craft retreat from Thursday to Sunday and came home to having my mom visiting me all the way from Indonesia. The trip was good for my soul. To be among girls that gets you, that share your interest and simply fun to be with is priceless. Then, get to be with my mom again... that was simply an awesome week.

I am still recovering from not being well, followed with partying too hard (LOL, if you can consider crafting and chatting to the wee hours as partying hard, haha!!). My last night at the retreat, I stayed up all night long!! Seriously, no sleep AT ALL. Not because I want to, but I had a 6AM flight to catch. And, now I am paying for it.

Anyhoo.... today I have this cutie duck card as part of assignment for SugarPea Designs.

Check out SPD Blog for more fun inspiration from the SPD ducklings. Well, that's all from me today peeps. While my mom's here, my blogging mot likely will be spotty as I want to spend as much time with her as possible. But, I'll be popping in here and there. Enjoy your week.

The Ton Spring Release Blog Hop

Hi everyone and welcome to The Ton Spring Release Blog Hop! Throughout the week, we have shown you many cool projects to showcase our latest beautiful and fun sets. Well, the waiting period is over, my friend. Today, you'll be able to order all the fabulous sets you've seen.

What better way to celebrate than with a blog hop, right? The team along with some guest designers have created some fabulous projects to show the versatility of the new sets. So, grab your favorite drink and enjoy some eye candy for your inspiration.

For the hop, I made a couple cards. Of course, for one of them, I have to go with my favorite flower border set. The Floral Border Cling Background totally makes my heart sing from the moment I start coloring it.

In case you missed it, on day 3 of the release post, HERE, I made an aqua version of this card. Again, I used my ZIG markers to color the flowers. I also used some Copic markers to add details to the solid flower. The sentiment is from Brushed Hello set. Finished the card with some sprinkling of Yellow Belly sequins.

Next, I made a sweet card  to showcase the fun Doughnut Party Cling Background. This background set actually kind of took me by surprise. I thought they're cute then I start playing with it and it really sneak up on me. I love the various shape of doughnut on this set and I had a blast in trying to make the doughnut look real!

And, how adorable is this bear? In case you wonder why the expression on the sitting bear looks different that the one on the set, I simply erase the eye and nose part before stamping the bear. Then I simply stamped the other eye & nose that's included on the Honey Bear set to get the expression that I want.

Now, the giveaway detail. We're giving away three $25 gift codes as blog hop prizes. Winners will be chosen randomly from the comments left on all the blogs. To qualify for this giveaway you must leave a comment on each stop on the blog hop. The comment period will close on Wednesday, April 13 at 11:59pm. Winners will be announce shortly thereafter.

Here's a complete list of the hop participants. Enjoy and thank you so much for all your support for The Ton. Happy Friday!!

The Ton Spring Release Day 4

On to day 4 of The Ton spring release. I can honestly say this release is beyond my expectation. There's just so much awesomeness. When I saw today's sets, the first thought that cross my  mind was oh my goodness, how freakin' awesome are these sets. Second, men, this sets will sell like hot cake.

First  up, is this card I made using Flaming Print Cling Background. I mean, come on... how fun and cute is this set?

With fun background like this, you could create a super CAS card in a jiffy. I think the card is both fun & modern, don't you think? I just  let the pink flamingos shine!

Next is a set that is just too fun to pass. The Doughnut Party Cling Background along with the Doughnut Bar set is perfect for all kind of occasions. You could use them for birthday or thinking of you or just to say hello or to let your peep know that you love them more than doughnut! Hah.

I stamped the doughnut background on a piece of watercolor cardstock and then heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Then added some watercolors (I used Spectrum Noir Watercolor Markers), let dry and adhere to the card base. The cute puppy is from Love and A Dog set from the previous release. And, with so many cute doughnuts to play with, you could have lots of fun choosing & coloring them. I finished the colored doughnut with some clear glaze to make it shiny like a real one.

Are you hungry, yet? Make sure you check out The Ton blog for more eye candies from the DT. The Ton Spring Release Day 3

Two days down, three more to go including today. Like I promised, The Ton have more amazing sets to introduce.

Now, the 1st set that I want to show you is truly awesome. I was tossing a bunch of ideas to Effie and when I saw what she came up with, I literally gasped in awe. Peeps, without further delay, the here's the beautiful Floral Border Cling Background

How gorgeous is this set? This one is definitely my MUST HAVE!! To create this card, I used my oldie but goody ZIG marker. When I said oldie, I am not  kidding. Most of my ZIG markers are from 1998! I got them from my very 1st scrapbook convention. I used them mostly for journaling in my scrapbook back in the days and they are still juicy.

Anyway, back to the card. I did use my Misty to do this card. Just in case, some area needed to be recolored. I simply  brushed the markers over the image in various colors. For the solid part, I dab the ink pad directly to the stamp.

This image is so pretty, you really don't need much afterward. I simply add the sentiment from the new Bokeh Burst Heart and finished with some Bermuda Blue sequin.

On to the next card. The Ton is coming out with 3 bokeh sets. I think they're simply brilliant.

For this card, I used Bokeh Burst Heart and Bokeh Burst Round set. I love the bokeh effect. It's perfect to create color gradient. You can bet that I'll be using the bokeh sets quite a bit down the road. And, as you may guess, yes, I finished with sequins (Fairy Pink Sparkling Clear). Sorry peeps, I am addicted to sequins.

Well, that's all from me for today's sneak peek. Hope you enjoy today's sneak peek. And, don't forget to enter our giveaway!! Make sure to leave a comment on The Ton blog post (and the other Release posts from this week – four altogether) to enter our Daily Release Giveaway! The Ton Spring Release Day 2

Day 2 of The Ton spring release! Today's sets are among my favorite. But, then again, I also love the set that we're going to show tomorrow. There's just that many fabulous sets with this release.

Let's get on with it, shall we? First up is this card featuring Sending Peonies set.

I was going for no line coloring, but my skill in coloring flowers in this technique is far from adequate. So, I call this, semi line coloring. Hah! Isn't this set is just gorgeous? I can see myself playing a lot with this set. Of course, I can't call it finish, without sprinkling some sequins (from Soft Mint Gelato Couture Mix).

Continuing with my obsession with peonies, on to the 2nd card using Happiest of Peonies set.

If my 1st card, all soft, for the 2nd one I want to go with bold. I just love how the blue just popped against the white background amid the peach & purple peonies. Add some sequins in matching Midnight Blue color. Then, I feel the card need some glitter, so I add a strip of Silver adhesive glitter paper on the bottom of the card panel.

Seriously, playing with this set, kind of creating your own adult coloring page. Good therapy to calm the mind. ;)

Make sure you head on to The Ton Blog to see more amazing inspiration using our new products.

You're A Cute-a-saurus

Hi peeps! I am popping in to share a fun card I made for SugarPea Designs. This time, I am using the sweet dinosaur from Prehistoric Pals stamp set along with  Woodgrain Journal CardPrehistoric Pals dies.

Sometime, I do get stuck to where I feel I need to color certain thing in certain colors. I have to remind myself that sometime it's okay to color outside the line, it's okay to use colors that one not normally used to color certain critter. In this case, the dinosaur. For the longest time, I keep thinking I can only color it in green.

But, you know what, that's the beauty of art. Of card making. Or creating in general. You could color things whichever way you want. It's all about having fun. Yellow dino, why not, right? Well, that's my deep thinking for today. LOL. Be color happy, even if it goes against what normal.

Want some more fun eye candy? Check out SugarPea Designs blog. Cheers!!

I made a couple cards for this hop. First up is this soft beauty using the new Best Mom set.

In person, this card has a very pretty shimmer to it since I used Spectrum Noir Shimmer on all the flowers and leaves. Here's a close up look that showed some of the shimmer.

Next is a Father's Day card that I made using Ori KamiInvisible Alpha set. I can't believe how long this alpha set been sitting in my drawer. I bought them with the intend to use them on my scrapbook page, but I haven't get to my scrapbook page, yet, so it's been sitting there waiting to be used. And boy, it is fabulous!

The Ton Spring Release Day 1

Hi peeps! I am so excited to finally be able to share the new sets from The Ton. We have quite a big line up of fabulous sets for our spring release that I am sure you will love.

Seriously, I thing that I notice in working with The Ton, how Effie (the owner of The Ton) can turn our ideas into amazing sets. We give her suggestion and she makes it happen. And the final result is simply stunning. I love new release time as it feels like Christmas, excitement up in the air.

One of my FAVORITE set from this release is the Hello Hummingbird set. If you have followed my blog for a while, you know I love working with pretty bird stamp. And, this beauty is simply gorgeous. And, even better, because of the layering, the color combination you could do with this bird is endless!

There are 4 layers to this hummingbird plus the neck detail layer. For my card I did the 1st layer in yellow, 2nd layer in green, 3rd in aqua and 4th in slightly darker aqua. For the sentiment, I used another new set called Basic Labels (stamped in Orchid Crush) and Basic Sentiment (stamped in Iris Blooms). Pretty much with these 2 sentiment sets, you'll have sentiment for all kind of occasions.

Here's a pic of the bird from different angle:

Peeps, this is just day 1!! Are you excited, yet? I promise, we have more beauty coming.

Now, for extra fun. How about some giveaways? We have a daily release giveaway. A $15 gift code to the store.
